The goal of the Sonoma County EcoAction Center is to create an environment where the increased availability of opportunities is matched with a skilled and educated labor force.
As California moves away from its traditional fossil-fuel based economy towards a clean-energy economy, new jobs will be created that will increase economic opportunity for all populations of workers. Sonoma County is well-positioned to be in a leader in creating a sustainable system for combining the increasing green economy with opportunities for the low-income community. Through the delivery of training programs, soft skills enhancement and energy outreach services, the Sonoma County EcoAction Center plays an important role in helping to create new opportunities that will lift low-income families out of poverty.
